PHARMACISTS’ OPINION ON THE INTRODUCTION OF SALES OF EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION WITH URIPRISTAL ACETATE IN GENERALLY AVAILABLE PHARMACIES IN POLAND

PPPRN decided to involve in a very important survey regarding pharmacist feelings regarding the sale of emergency contraception sold over the counter, as  uripristal acetate tablets available shortly for sale in community pharmacies in Poland. This form emergency contraception celebrates its 23rd birthday this year. All over the world, the sale of this medical product is subject to special procedures and documentation. As an organisation, trying to provide evidence for launching new pharmacy services in Poland, and based on lack of proper implementation of the service in pharmacies in Poland,  and to the lack of greater activity in providing specific procedures by the Ministry of Health, we would like to ask pharmacist in Poland about their opinions. This is extremely important for our future work with this product in terms of patient and pharmcists safety and potential claims in the event of an unwanted pregnancy towards the pharmacy owner.
